Plum Plum Mini-Bowl

A mini-bowl in Japanese style representing the plum blossom.  In Japan, this type of flower shaped vessel is often used on the table to evoke the short-lived beauty of spring. 

Pale yellow earthen clay is covered with a layer of white powder-clay before transparent glazing, called the Japanese "kohiki" technique.  It results in faint shades of pink, and yellowish clay is seen through.  They are perfect for small treats, nuts, and sweets.  

Tip: A lovely decorative piece for your small jewellery on your dressing table!
