Mame Spoon

"Mame spoon", which means a round teaspoon in Japanese, is made of traditional Japanese earthen clay.  The pea-shaped head has been applied with semi-matte colour glazing, contrasts nicely with the remaining unglazed white clay parts to add a rustic and chic effect to the simplicity of this spoon.

As these are delicate, avoid scooping hard or frozen foods such as ice cream, which may cause breakage.  Best used for light condiments such as jams or sugar.

All the pieces are handmade, so the shape, size and colour of each product are slightly different. In addition, small black spots, pinholes or similar cracks in the product itself are normal. This is a characteristic of pottery, not a defective product.
